We are writing to inform you of a temporary closure at Park Pool Leisure Centre, which will take effect from Thursday 5 February until the end of week commencing 9 February. This decision follows a recent inspection that identified an issue with the site’s boiler system, requiring immediate action to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.
In response, officers acted swiftly to appoint a contractor to deliver a temporary solution to restore hot water provision. A site survey is scheduled for tomorrow, with installation work planned to commence on Friday 6 February, subject to confirmation. We’re working hard to complete them promptly so we can welcome club members back by the end of next week.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we work to minimise disruption and maintain high standards of service.
Our customers have been informed of the closure today via email, social media and our website as well as the Park Pool leisure team informing customers who visit the site today.
Customers are welcome and encouraged to use the other West Lancs Leisure facilities during this temporary closure and staff working at the centres have already been advised and alternative arrangements have been put in place whilst the facilities are closed. Staff will also be working to deliver a deep clean of Park Pool whilst we undertake the works.
